21 – Azam Ali
Today’s episode is with Azam Ali, Iranian-American multi-instrumentalist whose latest album, Phantoms, explores a multidimensional reality from a sonically ethereal perspective. We hung out at Teragram Ballroom in LA just before her set and talked about the new record. Big thanks to Girl Underground Music for the collaboration! Check out Girl Underground Music for the article and more photos.
“You know that feeling when you invite everyone to a costume party and you’re the only one who dressed up?”
Photos - Undead Prom @ Teragram Ballroom
I returned to Teragram last night to cover Smoke Season, Bahari and Kid Bloom for the Undead Prom. The only two people I saw who dressed up weren’t even together and Bahari was quick to point out the lack of participation. I totally forgot.
Here are some photos from the night in order – Bahari, Smoke Season + Kid Bloom. I’m still playing with format here, so bear with me.

Sketched Sounds
This podcast is an expansion on my work in music journalism. Through casual conversation over coffee, or just out and about in the world, I get to know the artists and creators who keep this existence interesting.
